Databox is an easy-to-install hardware kit that collects all the data needed to monitor energy use, without disrupting the operation of the facility or requiring a technical shutdown. Ideal for all types of shared facilities, it can be tailored to make the most of existing equipment, such as sensors, meters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Main control panel
Databox is a hardware instrumentation kit tailored to each facility. A main control panel links the various pieces of equipment and measurement points, then connects them to Datapool’s servers via a wireless connection, enabling comprehensive and accurate monitoring.
Sensors
The system includes a range of sensors to monitor the most important variables. Existing energy and water meters connect to the Databox via communication terminals, while non-invasive sensors (for temperature, humidity, flow rate, water quality, etc.) are added wirelessly, ensuring comprehensive and accurate monitoring at all times.
Connection to existing controllers
Databox integrates easily with existing programmable controllers (BMS or standalone controllers), thanks to its compatibility with open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and M-Bus. It provides LoRa wireless connectivity for IoT networks and connects to the internet via 4G, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, enabling comprehensive and flexible monitoring.
